Despite a somewhat bumpy start to Summer 2020, with the whole world coming to a stop due to Corona Virus. Things are starting to get back to normal for this Morzine summer season, our Morzine MTB Accommodation is back open and operating, the Morzine Summer Lifts are spinning and the MTB trails are calling your name. Mountain bikers are once again filling the streets with a sense of excitement, a lust for beer and the smell of sweaty kneepads. One thing has been clear this summer is the development of new trails and the massive improvements of existing trails, in both Morzine bike park and the rest of the Portes du Soleil area. Its impossible to ignore all the hard work that the team at Bike Park Les Gets have been putting in over the past few months on building new trails and improving existing lines. The above photos are from the brand new Jump Park line in Les Gets, this trail is a double black graded expert Jump track, boasting over 26 jumps and features. All based under the Nauchets lift, check out the official video below. Nauchettes existing trails have all seen a major revamp, with increased flow, big berms & more jumps added. Les Gets mainline has also seen a lot of work with some new sizeable jumps added and increased flow to get rid of those damn breaking bumps. These trails are just a short lift ride away from our central Morzine summer accommodation. Check out the new Nauchettes flow trail video below by the talented Louis Citadelle, our Morzine based videographer. As for new Morzine trail updates, the Avoriaz MTB crew that run Super Morzine trails have been putting in loads of work maintaining the existing awesome tracks and built a new hip at the top of Super Morzine. (Pictures below) Morzine Bikepark / Ski pass Morzine who manage Le Pleney trails in Morzine centre, have been busy also, building a new pumptrack/ skills area at the top of Le Pleney. Plus, a new bottom half to the existing red trail on Le Pleney, this new trail is less steep and technical than the original bottom half, meaning the old trail exit is now classed as a black trail. Pleney mainline has also seen some new sections added and some serious maintenance, whilst keeping the technical aspects alive such as root gardens and jumps. Bikepark Champery Morgins have been going nuts on the maintenance, making every berm in sight absolutely vertical, imagine the G's you can clock around these things! There's no wonder Morgins bikepark is renowned for having some of the best berms in the World. With all of these new trails popping up everywhere and far shorter lift lines than normal, 2020 really could be shaping up to be the best year yet to ride Morzine bike park.
