Morzine Parking Guide 2026: Blue Zones, White Zones & Campervan Parking Explained

If you're driving to Morzine this summer, it's worth understanding the resort's parking system before you arrive.

In recent years Morzine has introduced a number of changes designed to improve traffic flow, make parking easier for local businesses and reduce long-term vehicle storage in the village centre.

Whether you're staying in a chalet, apartment, hotel or arriving in a campervan, here's everything you need to know.

OVERVIEW

  • Blue zone: enjoy 1 hour of free parking
  • White zone and underground parking: paid during peak season, free during the off-season. For the summer season of 2026, parking will be paid from June 20th to September 3rd. However, you will be able to enjoy 2 hours of free parking per day.
The aim is to facilitate your travels and encourage exploration of the village!

Staying with Bike Morzine?

The good news is that many Bike Morzine properties include private parking spaces.

Before travelling, we recommend double checking:
- How many parking spaces are included in your accommodation.
- Vehicle height restrictions for vans
- Whether additional vehicles will need public parking

For most visitors, once you've arrived in Morzine you'll rarely need to use your vehicle again. The lifts, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and bike shops are all within walking distance or accessible via the free shuttle buses.

Understanding Morzine's Parking Zones

BLUE ZONE - 1 hour Max

Blue Zones are designed for short-term parking in the village centre.

These spaces are free to use, but parking is limited to one hour maximum and you must display a blue parking disc showing your arrival time. Parking discs are available free of charge from the Tourist Office and Morzine Town Hall. (Morzine Avoriaz)

If you exceed the permitted time limit, you risk receiving a parking penalty.

WHITE ZONE - PAY & DISPLAY

Two hours of free parking per day throughout the municipality, allowing you time to stroll around.
In addition, parking is free between 12 pm and 1 pm and between 7 pm and 8 pm.
Parking outside of the above times is charged.

Even if you are only using the free time, remember to register your parking as soon as you arrive by scanning the codes below.

Many of Morzine's main public car parks use automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), meaning there are no barriers or tickets. Your registration plate is recorded when you enter and payment can be made at parking machines or via mobile apps.

The main public white zone car parks include:
- Tourist Office
- Pleney
- Joux Plane
- Le Bourg
- Palais des Sports

If you're planning to leave your vehicle for several days, these are generally the most appropriate options.

Free Parking in Morzine

One of the most useful options for visitors staying for a week is the large long-stay parking area on Route de la Plagne. A free shuttle service connects this area with the village centre, making it a good option if your accommodation doesn't include parking.
