Let’s be honest — convincing your partner or family to come on a mountain bike holiday isn’t always straightforward. In their head, it’s a week of you riding bikes all day while they… sit around waiting.

But Morzine is different. It’s not just a bike destination — it’s a proper alpine summer holiday with a huge range of things to do, whether you ride or not. In fact, many people come back year after year without even bringing a bike.

So if you’re trying to win the “where should we go this summer?” conversation — here are 10 solid reasons Morzine makes it an easy yes.

1. World Class Mountain Biking for all abilities.

Morzine has that rare balance of adventure and relaxation. Yes, the riding in Morzine is without doubt some of the best in the World , but it’s equally a place to unwind, explore and enjoy the mountains at your own pace.

Think of it as a summer holiday that just happens to have incredible mountain biking. There is a huge variety of biking on offer, including family friendly green runs to give your partner/family a taste of lift assisted mountain biking, rides by the lake/rivers, road riding and much more.

We even offer Kids MTB hire >> and guiding/coaching >> for those wanting to work on their skills.

2. Alpine Lakes & Swims

Theres nothing better than a dip in some clear alpine water on a hot day. This can be after riding or paired with paddleboarding, sunbathing, picnics or however you please. With tempretures getting up to 30+degrees, its just like that beach holiday minus all the burnt tourists, sand and with far better views.
